1. What HangarPal is — and isn't

HangarPal is an optional organizational and recordkeeping convenience tool for general-aviation aircraft owners, operators, partnerships, clubs, schools, instructors, and mechanics. It is not approved, endorsed, or certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or any government or regulatory body, and it is not the official maintenance or airworthiness record for any aircraft. It is not a source of flight, dispatch, maintenance, legal, medical, tax, or financial advice.

2. You are responsible — not HangarPal

The pilot in command, aircraft owner, operator, and certificated mechanic remain solely and fully responsible for all decisions regarding airworthiness (14 CFR 91.7), maintenance and inspections, Airworthiness Directive compliance, required records (including 14 CFR 91.405, 91.417, 43.9, and 43.11), and every applicable regulation and safe operating practice. Nothing in this app relieves you of any legal or regulatory duty.

You must independently verify all information against the authoritative sources — your aircraft's POH/AFM, the actual logbooks and maintenance records, current FARs, ADs, service bulletins, and manufacturer guidance — before acting on anything shown here. Data may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Never make a go/no-go, airworthiness, maintenance, or safety-of-flight decision based on HangarPal alone.

3. Provided “as is,” with no warranty

HangarPal is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HangarPal and its owners, operators, and contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of aircraft, property, income, data, or life, arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — HangarPal, including any reliance on information it displays. You use HangarPal entirely at your own risk.

5. AI features

Any AI assistant or automated feature can be inaccurate, incomplete, or wrong. Its output is not advice and is not authoritative. Never rely on it for any flight-critical, airworthiness, maintenance, or safety decision — always confirm against official documents and qualified human judgment.

6. Your records remain your responsibility

You are responsible for creating and retaining all records the FAA requires, in the form the FAA requires. HangarPal is a convenience layer on top of — never a replacement for — your official logbooks and records. You may export your data at any time.

7. Indemnification & changes

You agree to indemnify and hold HangarPal harmless from any claim arising out of your use of the service or your violation of any law or regulation. HangarPal is in beta; these terms and the service may change, and continued use means you accept the current terms.
